Sunday Sermon | The Gospel of Mark: The Pride of Greatness

In this message from our study through the Gospel of Mark, Pastor Jason Smith looks at Mark 9:30-50, where Jesus tells his disciples he is going to die, and they respond by arguing about which of them is the greatest. Jesus doesn’t tell them to stop wanting their lives to matter. He redefines greatness around service. Jason unpacks how pride affects the way we see others, why Jesus calls us to be ruthless with our own sin, and why our hope is not that we’ve become humble enough, but that Jesus humbled himself to save us.
