In this episode, the Sick Man launches a new series - or maybe not.  He’s not sure yet; it depends on a few factors, mostly his own laziness, because a lot of research went into this. But he’s doing at least one episode called If They Were Alive.

Here, he takes famous historical figures and deposits them into the modern world. What would they be like? What would they be doing? How much money would they make, and how? Whet would they think of today’s society and the people living in it?

In this first - and possibly only instalment - of If They Were Alive, the Sick Man resurrects William Shakespeare, Alexander the Great, and Cleopatra, dropping them into our completely insane modern world. Would Shakespeare be bigger than Spielberg? How many planets could Alexander dominate? And could anyone possibly escape Cleopatra on Instagram?
