1946-4-17 CE | Deep Dive | Agent Carter: Bridge and Tunnel (S1E2)

Snark Industries picks up the Agent Carter story right where the pilot left off, with Peggy chasing the truck of stolen explosives that slipped away in the refinery blast. The full plot gets walked through, from her double-agent maneuvering inside the SSR, to a disguise pulled from Howard Stark's wardrobe of women's outfits, to the undercover health-inspector routine that leads her to a missing milk truck and its driver in New Jersey. The threads running alongside get their due, with Angie pushing Peggy to move in, the flashbacks to her murdered roommate feeding a fear that everyone close to her gets hurt, and the Leviathan assassin Sasha working the same trail through a string of typewriter-coded murders. It all converges at Sheldon McPhee's house and ends with the truck and Sasha going into the lake in a fireball, while back at the refinery the SSR digs Jarvis's license plate out of the wreckage as their next lead. Personal thoughts land warm on both sides, with shared love for Jarvis and Hayley Atwell, agreement that the period cheese and well-worn TV tropes only add to the fun, and one lingering shared obsession: what exactly was the deal with that carrot in the interrogation scene?
