1946-4-20 CE | Deep Dive | Agent Carter: Time and Tide (S1E3)

Snark Industries works through the third Agent Carter chapter, with Peggy still splitting her time between SSR busy work and her off-the-books hunt for Stark's stolen tech. The full plot gets walked through, from her struggle to decode the Leviathan symbol, to Jarvis being hauled in for questioning over the license plate, to the sewer route that leads Peggy and Jarvis to the marked boat full of Stark's inventions. The heart of the breakdown is Jarvis's backstory: a forged general's signature to get his wife Anna out of Budapest, a dishonorable discharge, and Howard Stark's money smoothing it all over, a reveal both hosts single out as the best part. The rest lands more critically, with a murky interrogation scene that neither host could make sense of even after digging, a convenient trail of clues, and a filler feel that leaves them wondering next about the exact same thing they were wondering the previous time. Personal thoughts converge: real love for Jarvis and Hayley Atwell, appreciation for the fight choreography, and honest agreement that this is the weakest entry so far, disjointed and a touch lazy in its writing, but still worth the watch as part of a series they expect to enjoy as a whole.
