The Warning: From a Viral Metallica Cover to Rock Stardom

The Warning is taking rock music to new heights, but sisters Daniela (Dany), Paulina (Pau), and Alejandra (Ale) Villarreal are doing it on their own terms. The Mexican rock trio joins Tamara Dhia on the Spout Podcast to discuss their new album, Everything’s Falling, the personal experiences behind their most revealing music yet, and how three sisters who started playing together as kids became one of rock’s most exciting bands. From their viral Metallica “Enter Sandman” cover to collaborating with Alessia Cara on The Metallica Blacklist, The Warning looks back at the moments that changed their career. They also share what they've learned touring with Muse, Foo Fighters, Guns N’ Roses, and Halsey, the challenges of being women in rock, and why performing in Spanish has become such an important part of their identity. Plus, the sisters break down the stories behind “Kerosene,” “Ritual,” and “Ego,” explain the creative vision behind Everything’s Falling, and reveal how making the album brought them closer than ever.
