Somewhere along the way, we became comfortable with a God we were never meant to make common. He is loving, but He is still HOLY. He is near, but He is still WORTHY OF REVERENCE. He calls us friends, but He is still KING. The fear of God isn’t being afraid of Him—it’s living with such an awareness of who He is that His presence changes how we live.
