Wrestling With God II

This sermon examines Jacob's prayer in Genesis 32, highlighting how he approaches God based on divine character and covenant faithfulness rather than personal merit. The message emphasizes that believers should bring their fears and anxieties to God in honest supplication, trusting in His promises even when fear coexists with faith. It critiques the tendency to rely on human strategies or self-reliance, using Jacob's actions after his prayer as an example of lingering doubt. The central theme encourages a posture of humility and dependence on God's grace, reminding the audience that true peace comes from abiding in God's Word and trusting His sovereignty over life's uncertainties.
