Episode Summary Hallowmere has shelter. It also has questions. Beneath the Chapel of the Ninefold Root, the party meets Thistle, the last of the Rosari, and finds that the Verdance has been trying to speak through rot, memory, and blackwater. The Lumora offer answers, but not gently. Zeph sees old ties tightening in Virelia. Kua finds proof that hope may still be moving inside the fallen city. Seraphina remembers fire as something other than fear. Severian sees what his people were, what they may have become, and what Oryx has taken from them. Basagar is shown a beginning he was never meant to remember. Every vision gives them something useful. Every truth takes something back. And somewhere beyond Hallowmere, the Heartwood is still bleeding.
