Wrestling With.... Football 10/22/2026: CFB Chaos, NFL Week 6 Reactions & Week 7 Picks

College football got turned upside down as five of the Top 7 teams lost, shaking up the rankings and raising plenty of questions about who actually belongs near the top. Nick and Tyler break down Georgia’s upset loss to Auburn, Tennessee’s statement win over Alabama, Ohio State surviving Indiana, BYU’s rise, Michigan’s quarterback situation and whether the new Top 15 rankings got it right. We also go down a couple of major college football tangents: 🏈 If the College Football Playoff eventually expands to 24 teams and conference championship games disappear, do the biggest programs still need conferences at all? Could schools like Georgia, Ohio State, Alabama, Michigan and Texas eventually make more money controlling and selling their own home-game rights instead of sharing conference revenue? 🏈 Are college football player contracts becoming even more player-friendly than professional sports contracts? We discuss NIL and revenue-sharing deals, the transfer portal, whether players should be allowed to leave long-term agreements at any time, and possible solutions schools could use to keep players for the full term of their college contracts — including buyouts, transfer fees, clawbacks and more professional-style contract structures. Then it’s a full NFL Week 6 recap, including the Rams’ continued collapse, Caleb Williams and the Bears heating up, Houston finally breaking through, Carolina becoming a real NFC story, Green Bay’s resurgence, Cleveland making noise in the AFC North and more. We finish with the full NFL Week 7 slate, current point spreads, key matchup notes and our picks for the weekend. 🏈 College Football rankings chaos 🏈 Georgia, Alabama, Ohio State, BYU & more 🏈 24-team CFP and the future of conferences 🏈 NIL contracts, transfer rules & player movement 🏈 NFL Week 6 full recap 🏈 NFL Week 7 spreads & picks 🏈 Patriots-Bears, Packers-Lions, Chiefs-Seahawks & more Subscribe for new episodes of Wrestling With....
