What happens after abuse is recognised, where can you go for help and what happens when the systems put in place to keep us safe, end up letting us down? With my guest Simone Claire from Ōtepoti-Dunedin Whanau Refuge, we discuss in a fair bit of detail the services that are available to support women prior to, during and after leaving abusive relationships. My other guest is a very brave and strong abuse and harassment survivor who shares her story about surviving ongoing stalking, harrassment and abuse from en ex partner. She is also a huge advocate for change, educating other women and improving the system to protect women, keep them safe and not have them financially burdened to do so.
