Horror Film Creator Interview feat. Devon Jovi Johnson S2 Ep.051

Think you need an expensive camera, a Hollywood budget, and a professional film crew to make something terrifying? Think again! In this episode of That’s Effin Weird, we sit down with Jovi, a horror and thriller filmmaker who proves that creativity, passion, and a cell phone can be all you need to bring your darkest ideas to life. Jovi shares his journey into filmmaking and his passion for creating scary videos with limited resources. We'll explore how he turns simple locations, everyday equipment, and creative storytelling into creepy, suspenseful experiences that get under your skin. When you don't have a big budget or a professional production team, you have to think outside the box, improvise, and find unique ways to make an audience feel fear. We'll talk about the challenges of filming horror on a cell phone, the tricks behind building suspense, and how independent creators can bring their visions to life without breaking the bank. What inspires someone to create things designed to scare us? How do you make a scene frightening when you don't have expensive effects? And can a simple phone camera capture something just as unsettling as a major Hollywood production? Join us as we get inside the mind of an independent horror creator, discuss the art of making scary videos on a shoestring budget, and discover why sometimes the most terrifying stories come from the people who have the fewest resources.
