Tommy Tanner on WWE Tryout, PROGRESS Title & What's Next!

Tommy Tanner has had a meteoric rise in British wrestling, becoming PROGRESS Atlas Champion less than a year after his debut and he's already had a WWE tryout after just 18 months in the ring! The Ultimate Geezer joins Karl and Antony to talk about his incredible year, winning the Atlas Championship at the Electric Ballroom, and why his WWE tryout was a genuine pinch-me moment. Tommy reveals that WWE has been his end goal since day one, reflects on how the experience went, and explains what he learned from three days surrounded by world-class coaches and wrestlers. We also get into the making of the Ultimate Geezer, how gymnastics and rugby helped shape his in-ring style, and why Tommy wants to become one of his generation's best performers — following in the footsteps of AJ Styles and Shawn Michaels. Plus, he tells us how he landed a role in Tony's Chocolonely's “Fight in Every Bite” campaign, why the Butlins tours have been some of the most valuable reps of his career, and which British wrestling stars he still wants to face. With a huge Atlas Championship defence against Sha Samuels at PROGRESS Bonestorm on October 25, Tommy has plenty to say and he's got some big ambitions for where he'll be in another two years... Can the Ultimate Geezer make it all the way to the top?
