“Flowing into a Better Future” with Jocelyn Stevenson

Jocelyn Stevenson has spent more than fifty years shaping what children's media. From the earliest days of Sesame Street, through her years with Jim Henson creating Fraggle Rock, to her work developing The Magic School Bus's approach to making the science itself the story, she's been interested in using the medium to go beyond just providing entertainment for kids. As a longtime member of The Mystery School, she recently completed The Waterubas, her first original book series, published through Mystery School Press. In this interview with Robin Beck, Jocelyn draws on that lifetime of experience and on her own practice of somatic embodiment to explore what it really means to educate a child not just in facts, but in wonder, connection, oneness, and the courage to flow with what cannot be controlled.
