FIRST CALL | Alex Golesh MUST FIX These 5 Auburn Problems!

Auburn football is coming out of its bye week with five major questions, and Alex Golesh faces his toughest challenge yet against No. 1 Georgia. Can the Tigers finally show meaningful improvement after their frustrating loss to Tennessee? The Auburn Tigers have had two weeks to address their mistakes, but fixing everything against one of the best teams in college football won't be easy. On Auburn Daily's First Call, we're joined by Darrell Dapprich to break down five things we need to see from Auburn following its bye week. First, has Auburn's offensive play-calling actually improved? Golesh and offensive coordinator Joel Gordon have struggled to establish consistency, while penalties and questionable decisions have repeatedly stalled drives. Second, will Auburn finally commit to its running backs? Omar Mabson has made a strong case for more opportunities, but should he replace Jeremiah Cobb as Auburn's starting running back? We discuss why both players deserve more touches and whether the Tigers can establish their rushing attack against Georgia. Third, Auburn's special teams decisions need attention. From questionable fair catches inside the 10-yard line to poor field position, the Tigers continue making life harder on their offense. Fourth, can DJ Durkin fix Auburn's run defense? After struggling against Florida's Jadan Baugh and Tennessee's DeSean Bishop, Auburn now faces a Georgia rushing attack averaging more than 200 yards per game. Finally, will younger players receive more opportunities? We discuss potential increased roles for Deshawn Spencer, Gavin Jenkins and other developing players as Auburn begins preparing for its future. Plus, Darrell shares his experience inside one of the most hostile college football environments he's ever witnessed. Auburn doesn't have to beat Georgia to demonstrate progress. But the Tigers need to prove that something actually changed during the bye week. #AuburnFootball #AuburnTigers #WarEagle Hosted by Simplecast, an AdsWizz company.
