The Spirit of Unbelief: Do You Really Trust God? | Laura Baker

You believe in God. But do you trust Him when fear, disappointment, and difficult circumstances challenge your faith?Laura Baker joins me on Testing the Spirits to examine the spirit of unbelief, the warning in Hebrews 3, and the difference between honest questions and a heart that refuses to trust God.Joshua and Caleb saw the same giants as the other spies. Their response was different. That account brings us to a question every Christian needs to consider: Are we measuring our circumstances against God’s promises, or measuring God’s promises against our circumstances? In this conversation, we discuss: • How unbelief can show up quietly in a Christian’s life • Joshua, Caleb, and Israel’s refusal to enter the Promised Land • Believing God exists versus trusting what He says • Why faith cannot rest on emotions alone • Elisha and the unseen army in 2 Kings 6 • Disappointment, perseverance, and double-mindedness • Testing what we hear against ScriptureNot every question is unbelief, and not every doubt is demonic. We examine that distinction and close with a prayer of repentance and renewed faith.Scripture discussed or referenced: Hebrews 3:12–19 Numbers 13–14 2 Kings 6:15–17 Matthew 17:20 Mark 9:14–29 James 1:6–8 1 John 4:1CHAPTERS 00:00 Honest doubt and the problem of unbelief 01:23 Laura Baker on faith and misplaced trust 08:46 Joshua, Caleb, and the twelve spies 14:28 Can you believe in God without trusting Him? 16:39 The Anakim, Goliath, and the giants 18:23 Unbelief and the consequences in the wilderness 26:03 The quiet ways unbelief shows up 27:33 Why faith is more than a feeling 30:01 Elisha and the unseen army 33:09 Testing the spirits without dismissing honest questions 35:11 Disappointment, prayer, and perseverance 38:03 James 1 and double-mindedness 42:21 Prayer of repentance and renewed faith 43:46 Where to find Laura BakerCONNECT Broadcasting Seeds: https://broadcastingseeds.com Laura Baker: https://www.cleansingthebloodline.comSubscribe to Broadcasting Seeds for more conversations about Scripture, spiritual warfare, and the supernatural biblical world.#Unbelief #TestingTheSpirits #BroadcastingSeeds Become a supporter of this podcast: https://www.spreaker.com/podcast/the-broadcasting-seeds-podcast--6402290/support.
