Description
In which a poor but radiant maiden named Nanny recounts to young Diamond a dream of being carried to the house of the moon, where she is entrusted with the care of its windows and the keeping of strange bees that gather honey from the sun and stars. The dream is woven with gentle wonders and tapering shadows, and though Nanny’s inquisitiveness brings a misstep, the mystery of that far place lingers, touched by the whimsical breath of the North Wind.
