Lecture 9 | The Birth of the Church

In this podcast episode, Kushman shows how Jesus builds His one universal church on the revelation that He is the Christ, the Son of the living God, calling those into a new heavenly citizenship rather than a man-made religious system. He traces the start of the church on Pentecost, showing how the Holy Spirit united Jews, Samaritans, and Gentiles through faith in Christ. Kushman explains that baptism is being joined to Christ by the Spirit through faith, and that He is the head of the church and source of salvation and new life.
