LNT Anime #20

Thanks for tapping in to The Life N Times Network ! October is turning into a full-on cornucopia for anime and pop culture fans, and we’re treating it like a real watchlist, not background noise. We start with Cyberpunk Edgerunners season 2 and why it hits harder than a normal “new season” announcement. The tech, the cybernetics, the AI, the vibe of Night City, it all feels a little too close for comfort, which is exactly why the hype feels real. From there we get honest about Dragon Ball: yes, we know the plot holes and retcons are part of the package, and yes, we still pull up every single time. We talk about why Dragon Ball nostalgia is different, how it becomes a shared language for every kind of anime watcher, and how games like Xenoverse keep that connection alive. Then we jump to DC, breaking down why Superman stories work best when the writers commit to balance, and why the Man of Tomorrow direction, Brainiac potential, and Jon Stewart spotlight have us genuinely excited about where the DCU can go. We also hit a fresh take on Resident Evil, our anticipation for Avatar Seven Havens, and why The Legend of Korra deserves more respect than it gets. After giving Netflix animation its props with Castlevania Nocturne and Blood of Zeus, we call out what still feels overdue: Static Shock and Miles Morales getting the live-action and long-term love they’ve earned, plus the bigger conversation about representation and who gets centered as “the” hero.
