ICE Arrests In Laredo Houston Raids And A Texas Crackdown On DEI Spending

A cold front hits Houston and we start where Texans always start: weather, community, and what’s happening right here at home. Then the tone flips fast, because the headlines do too. We unpack a disturbing border enforcement story out of Laredo involving an illegal alien tied to a felony warrant for sexual assault of a child, and we trace how bureaucracy and custody failures can create outcomes that feel impossible to defend. From there, we dig into ICE operations in Houston, including reporting that agents may have been searching for a target who was already dead, and what that says about the scale of the border crisis and basic record accuracy. We also hit the Texas DPS warning on using Signal and WhatsApp to coordinate with federal immigration authorities. Even when you support the mission, preserving evidence and following procedure matters if you want cases to hold up in court and bad actors held accountable. We also break down Comptroller Don Huffines’ move to block taxpayer-funded discriminatory DEI programs through state contracts and grants, and why enforcement mechanisms are the difference between a press release and real policy. On the politics front, we talk polling, early voting, and why I don’t want you treating a survey like a substitute for showing up and voting down the ballot. Plus, Justin White from Senior Health Services joins us for Medicare Monday to explain open enrollment changes, plan cancellations, shrinking PPO options, and a smarter way to think about supplement costs like High Deductible Plan G. ************************************************ Listen every day to our strong conservative programs on Patriot Talk 920 AM.  Tune-in on your radio in Houston to KYST 920 AM or download our app by visiting 920app.com or search for "Patriot Talk 920" from your app store!
