UPDATE: Christa Pike Is Still Alive After Botched Off-And-On Again Execution 

50-year-old Christa Pike is in the hospital this morning after two lethal doses were given to the death row inmate last night. The Supreme Court overturned a federal court’s stay of execution, allowing for the execution to take place. After second attempt at administering the pentobarbital, Pike was heard snoring by witnesses. The governor of Tennessee has ordered an investigation into what happened and a temporary halt to scheduled executions.
