689: When The New Wears Off

Send us Fan Mail On today's PoM podcast I am going to share some of the things I have learned when it comes to creating communities with men and the challenges to get them to be consistent.  Consistency is not flashy. It doesn’t post well on social media. But it is the difference between a man who talks about faithfulness and a man who becomes faithful. Paul told Timothy to “practice these things, immerse yourself in them, so that all may see your progress” (1 Timothy 4:15). Progress is visible only when the practice is consistent. A single day of prayer is good. A decade of daily prayer forms a man who can weather storms without losing his footing. A consistent man becomes trustworthy. His word carries weight. His family knows what to expect from him.
