282: The Joanna Lopez Mystery: The Real-Life Disappearance that May Have Been Fiction

The Red Treehouse is dedicated to my Dad. I love you, Pop. In 1989, a missing persons PSA was broadcast into home across the greater Chicago area. A low-quality black-and-white picture of a woman known only as Joanna Lopez was beamed into home with an alert indicating she was missing, and a number to call if she was found. Except, it's possible Joanna Lopez not only WASN'T missing; but she may not have existed at all. Was she a real person who went missing in 1989? Or is this case nothing more than an urban legend?
