Cursed (2005) & Upgrade (2018): Spooky Month Finale Movie Review

This week on The Reel Study, we’re wrapping up Spooky Month with two very different nightmares Cursed (2005) and Upgrade (2018). From a werewolf attack that leaves two siblings fighting to escape a terrifying curse to a man who receives an experimental artificial intelligence implant after a brutal attack, these films explore what happens when the human body becomes something frighteningly unfamiliar. One brings supernatural horror with a darkly comedic twist, while the other delivers a chilling vision of technology, vengeance, and the loss of control. Before the discussion, catch up on The Reel News for the latest movie headlines. Then check out Reel Roundup, where the panel shares their first-time watches whether it’s a brand-new release in theatres, a streaming debut, or an older film they’re finally catching up on.
