Description
I'm kind, compassionate, and believe in extending grace. But don't mistake my kindness for weakness. My cousins nicknamed me "Duke" for a reason! 😂
In this episode of The Reinvention Code, I'm sharing a side of myself that most people don't see, including a business confrontation where, let's just say, when she went low, I went to hell!
But this conversation is about more than standing your ground. I'm reflecting on how our childhood experiences shape the way we respond to conflict, why forgiveness doesn't automatically restore trust, and the difference between being kind and simply trying to keep everybody comfortable.
We also explore the expectations placed on women in leadership, what faith teaches us about anger and discernment, and why personal growth shouldn't require us to become smaller versions of ourselves.
This week's Reinvention Code:
"Growth doesn't mean losing your fire. It means learning when to use it, what deserves it, and how to make sure it serves your purpose instead of your emotions."
Have you ever had someone mistake your kindness for weakness? I'd love to hear your perspective.
