The Rapture: Pre-Trib, Pre-Wrath, or Post-Trib? | Michael Rowntree

"I don't believe in the rapture" has become a common line among Christians tired of end times hype. Michael Rowntree argues that every believer holds to a rapture of some kind. The real debate is when. ABOUT THE EPISODE:  We're back in our series on the book of Revelation, and this time Josh and Michael discuss the timing of the rapture, examining pre-tribulation, pre-wrath, and post-tribulation views. They look at Revelation 3:10, Revelation 4, the 144,000 in Revelation 7, and Paul's warning in 2 Thessalonians 2 about the rebellion, the man of lawlessness, and the restrainer. They also discuss what the early church expected. Where does John Nelson Darby fit, and what should we make of Irenaeus and Pseudo-Ephraem?  Then Josh asks the question many are too embarrassed to raise: if Jesus is coming down, why are we going up? Join us for a biblically-grounded discussion about the Rapture.
