The Shadow - "Bubbling Death" (Old Time Radio)

The Shadow presents “Bubbling Death,” originally broadcast December 5, 1943. This surviving installment comes from the Mutual Broadcasting System’s 1943–44 Blue Coal season and stars Bret Morrison as Lamont Cranston/The Shadow, with Marjorie Anderson as Margo Lane. At the LeGrand family’s ancestral estate, a history of violent deaths and talk of a family curse cast a sinister pall over the household. As ominous signs—including a conspicuous bubbling cauldron—heighten the fear, Lamont and Margo investigate the human truth behind the seemingly supernatural terror. Written by Eric Arthur. The Shadow presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
