The Shadow - "Death and the Crown of Odalph" (Old Time Radio)

The Shadow presents “Death and the Crown of Odalph,” originally broadcast January 2, 1949. Script number 356 in the Street & Smith records, it is also listed as episode 467 in some old-time-radio logs. When a historian is murdered, Lamont Cranston and Margo Lane are drawn into the mystery of the jeweled Crown of Odalph, an artifact tied to an ancient Viking legend and a chilling supposed curse. Bret Morrison stars as Lamont Cranston/The Shadow, with Grace Matthews as Margo Lane, in a Peter Barry script originally heard on Mutual and sponsored by Blue Coal. The Shadow presents the original broadcast with a newly produced contextual introduction, a short closing announcement, and gently cleaned/mastered audio for a more consistent listening experience.
