While Sinners and One Battle After Another were duking it all awards season earlier this year, a lot of the other films up for Best Picture and multiple other categories got left out of the conversation; Hamnet was unfortunately one of them. Beautifully tragic performances, impeccable direction, and a score that would make even the toughest man weep, this movie is so much more than “emotional manipulation”.
