The Trellis Podcast

What does it really mean to pray without ceasing? And how do we respond when that invitation feels more like an impossible expectation? In this episode of Ordinary Time, Krista Elmore and Will Odom are joined by Devon Accardi for a conversation about what it looks like to cultivate a life of prayer in the midst of our everyday routines. Together, they explore the tension between striving to get prayer right and receiving it as an invitation to ongoing relationship with God. Through personal stories and practical encouragement, they consider how moments of silence, simple prayers, and time in Scripture can help us become more aware of God's presence throughout our days. Rather than another spiritual task to accomplish, this conversation invites us to bring what we have, however small or imperfect, and trust that God can grow a life of prayer as we simply begin.

Introducing Ordinary Time, a new series of conversations on the Trellis Podcast about following Jesus in the everyday moments of life. In this first episode, Stacey Tafao, Erik Chandler, Krista Elmore, and Will Odom begin a conversation around Fellowship's value of Prayer & Pursuit. Together, they share personal stories of how prayer has shaped their lives, the people who have modeled it for them, and what it looks like to grow in prayer without feeling like we have to get it right. Whether prayer has been part of your life for years or you are just beginning, this conversation is an invitation to meet with God in the ordinary moments of your day and discover that He is already near.
