We talk to Kristy’s best friend about the impact all this had on her life. Jared fills us in on the multitude of other lies he learned his wife had told him in the aftermath of the “deaths”, their final words, and attempt to finally answer the question.........why?

Jared describes how difficult it was lying to Kristy over the weekend, in order to get to the bank on Monday to secure the donation money they received after the the fire. But Kristy has another surprise for Jared, she wants that money too. We talk to Jared’s attorney, Melissa, a self described “pit bull” who walks us through the precarious process of filing an emergency annulment and getting Kristy served, before she skips town.

Jared, along with his friends and family, discuss why they believe Kristy set fire to their home. Almost all believed it was an attempted murder on Jared’s life that she simply could not go through with in the end. In the fire’s aftermath, an outpouring of community support floods the Akrin family. But all that goodwill quickly turns to anger and mistrust when the community uncovers Kristy’s lies.

We talk to Gretchen, a pediatric nurse about the extreme measures hospitals take to protect infant security. And the real reason Kristy was detained at the hospital and escorted out in handcuffs. Namely, that she was able to obtain access to the maternity ward where she was attempting to kidnap a baby.

We tell the story of Breonna Moore, who successfully abducted a baby from the same hospital 8 years earlier. And finally, how do we digest that Kristy was able to trick her body into fully functioning as a pregnant woman and believing she was pregnant; with what appear to be direct acts of deceit: faking pregnancy tests; faking sonograms; faking gender results. Jared drops the final bomb - he and Kristy's home burnt to the ground 5 days before she gave "birth".

Jared learns that his wife suffers from a condition where a woman looks, acts, and feels pregnant. We dive into his wife’s obsession with social media. Manically posting everything from her pregnant belly to weekly pregnancy updates. We also learn that Kristy was escorted from the hospital because she was suspected of trying to kidnap a baby.
