Description
Bo is back in his house after months of construction, which means he is showering on a regular basis again, and to celebrate, he showed up with a pile of giant sticky notes from every TNT we've ever done. That turned into a confession of how we each actually keep notes (mine involves around 70 notebooks and an AI project that keeps telling me Bo told the story better). We had a very long intro. A glorious, hour-long intro.
In it: a burned-out pastor busted for preaching Chuck Swindoll cassettes when he accidentally gave himself a fake brother, a research tool that tracks how sermon language shifted around COVID and January 6th, Bo's misspelled Wednesday-night-Bible-study middle name, and our pitch for a gothic Christmas horror play. Plus the Westboro Baptist sign at Theology Beer Camp that read "Most People Go To Hell," which Bo dismantles with Romans 5. If sin is an automatic download and grace isn't, Adam beat Jesus. Then we finally got to your questions: tradition, Bart Ehrman and the historical Jesus, atonement, heaven and hell, the eschatological banquet, and our favorite dead theologians. We got through a handful of the 70-some you sent. We'll keep going.
