How the murder case against Todd Irving fell apart

The man accused of the 1988 murder of P.E.I. school teacher Byron Carr walked free after police in Charlottetown announced they lost key evidence in the case. Todd Joseph Irving was linked to the murder scene by DNA evidence, but the Crown says that would not be enough to get a conviction.
