Naaman Washes in the Jordan

Good evening — I am Anna, and tonight we open the old Book to Second Kings. "Naaman Washes in the Jordan" is the story of a mighty Syrian captain with everything except health — honored by his king, loved at home, yet carrying a hidden affliction — until a captive little maid's whispered sentence sends him journeying to the prophet Elisha and the muddy waters of the Jordan. A second telling follows for the deep night: the letter between kings, the prophet who would not come out, anger on the road, the servants' gentle counsel, seven washings, and flesh restored like a little child's. Dread-free, wrath-free, made for eyes closed and the day set down. 0:08 The Captain and His Hidden Sorrow 27:01 The Little Maid and the Great Hope 49:00 The Letter of Kings 69:31 The Prophet Who Did Not Come Out 96:19 Anger on the Road 120:08 The Wise Counsel of Servants 144:23 Seven Times in the Jordan 171:48 Flesh Like a Little Child 194:17 The Grateful Return and a Quiet Blessing Produced with AI assistance.
