SEP 9, 202610 MIN

Description

We take a closer look at the Book of Proverbs, primarily attributed to King Solomon, except for Chapters 30 and 31. Proverbs is broken down into 3 divisions: Chapters 1-9 are advice from a father to a son to stay away from folly by embracing Godly wisdom and judgment. Chapters 10-29, for the most part, are a collection of short and wise words covering everyday living on every topic we encounter.  Chapters 30-31 of Proverbs were written by Agur and King Lemuel, with his timeless tribute to a virtuous woman celebrating his mother.     The Book of Proverbs is primarily where Solomon shares with us what David said to him, but the book of Ecclesiastes is where Solomon shares with us his experiences and his return back to God. Solomon says to us in the 12th chapter, verse 13 the whole duty of man is to fear God and keep his commandments. Deuteronomy 30:15 –19 reveals a decision God calls to our attention and shows his love for us; he urges us to choose him and his ways, which lead to eternal life and victory in this one. Jesus Christ paid it all and made it possible for us to live an abundant life through his Word.
