Steven Cozzi: The Missing Attorney and the Plastic Surgeon on Trial

In March 2023, Florida attorney Steven Cozzi disappeared from his workplace after entering the office bathroom. His phone, wallet, keys and an unfinished email were left behind, leaving investigators searching for answers. Surveillance footage soon brought attention to Dr. Tomasz Kosowski, a plastic surgeon involved in a legal dispute connected to Cozzi's law firm. Investigators examined footage of a red collapsible wagon, digital searches, financial transactions and other evidence as they reconstructed the events surrounding Steven's disappearance. The case eventually reached court in September 2026, where Kosowski chose to represent himself and waived his right to a jury. The proceedings brought unusual courtroom exchanges and renewed attention to the evidence gathered during the investigation.
