Ep 196 - Dreamscape Deep Dive + Top George Wendt

In this deep-dive episode, Wes Chatham and Ty Franck throw on their psychic headsets and plunge into the 1984 sci-fi cult classic Dreamscape. A film ahead of its time—or at least weird enough to feel that way—Dreamscape delivers Cold War paranoia, nightmarish visuals, and a telepathic Dennis Quaid trying to save the President from his own dreams. Ty celebrates the always-watchable David Patrick Kelly, while both hosts reflect on the heavyweight presence of Christopher Plummer and Max von Sydow, who somehow make dream infiltration feel Shakespearean. The guys also take a heartfelt detour to remember the late George Wendt—his small role in the film sparking a bigger conversation about his underrated legacy beyond Cheers. It’s government secrets, dream battles, and 80s weirdness at its finest.
