Description
SABC Group CEO Nomsa Chabeli says the public broadcaster is already in its election period, with planning and coverage underway. She says the SABC has launched mayoral debates and nine town halls across its radio platforms, with a minimum of 76 planned by the end of the election period. Chabeli says funding constraints could affect the scale and number of teams deployed for the coverage of upcoming elections. The SABC and ICASA are today briefing parliaments Communications Committee on their preparedness for the upcoming local government elections.
