VW Graveyards, Junkyard Engines & Family Camping: Greg’s Volkswagen Stories | VW Garage Talk Podcast S2E6

For more than 20 years, Greg and I have been buying and selling Volkswagens from each other, swapping parts, helping each other out, and crossing paths throughout the Florida VW community. For this episode of VW Garage Talk, we finally sit down in Greg’s garage and look back at where his Volkswagen story started and where it has taken him.We talk about learning mechanics early, rescuing abandoned VWs, finding old “honey holes,” daily driving a Squareback, junkyard engine swaps, building cars with his kids, family camping in a ’77 Bus, saving an Oval Beetle, and even getting back a VW chassis he had sold years earlier. There’s also a lot of conversation about the people who helped us learn along the way, how much the internet changed finding and saving old Volkswagens, and why the Florida VW community is still such a big part of both of our lives. This is exactly what VW Garage Talk is about. Old Volkswagens, old friends, and the stories that come with both.
