Hecklinski Time? Eickholt & Kluver | Week 6 Press Review

In the first post defeat show of the year after Iowa’s loss to Ohio State, Kluver and David recap the game and focus on the Hawkeyes’ most disappointing issue: a stalled run game amid the loss of three NFL-caliber linemen, debate whether the starting offensive line should be adjusted, and discuss using more RPOs. They note inflated stats from early mismatches, point to disciplinary penalties that shifted momentum against Ohio State, and credit Ohio State’s talent and Jeremiah Smith. Looking ahead to a short-week Friday road game at Washington, they describe it as a critical swing game before the bye, with Washington desperate at home. They also project Jeremy Hecklinski will start at quarterback due to Hank Brown’s AC joint injury and discuss the potential implications for the rest of the season.
