Send us Fan Mail RHOSLC The Housewives Rally Around Mary RHOSLC S7 E1 Chosen Family The Season 7 premiere of The Real Housewives of Salt Lake City, “Chosen Family,” begins on a much more somber note than usual as the women come together to support Mary Cosby following the tragic death of her son, Robert Jr. The group puts their usual arguments aside and rallies around Mary, showing up for her during an incredibly difficult time. Mary opens up about her grief and the complicated emotions surrounding Robert’s struggles, while also making it clear how much the support of the women has meant to her. The idea of “chosen family” takes on a much deeper meaning as Mary recognizes that the RHOSLC women were there for her when she needed them most.  Once the episode moves beyond the immediate tragedy, some familiar Salt Lake City drama starts creeping back in. Whitney Rose has to deal with the fallout from her harsh comments about Lisa Barlow and Meredith Marks, attempting to apologize while Lisa and Meredith remain less than convinced. Meanwhile, Heather Gay introduces her new boyfriend, Tripp, a man she actually dated years ago before their relationship ended badly. The two have reconnected years later, and Heather is clearly excited about this second chance at romance.  Bronwyn Newport is also entering a new chapter, navigating changes in her marriage and opening up about her new relationship with Brandon, while Lisa and John Barlow work through their own marital issues and finally seem to reach a breakthrough. What makes this premiere stand out is the contrast between the usual Housewives chaos and the genuine grief surrounding Mary.
