Description
Stephanie Liu (Dr Mom) '13 MD is a family physician professor, social media personality and entrepreneur. Learn how she came to this path and how she balances these careers and parenthood.
By Dr Mom Skincare is a Canadian, evidence-based skincare line founded in Edmonton by Dr. Stephanie Liu alongside her University of Alberta medical school classmates. The steroid-free formulas are powered by beta glucan, a natural active ingredient found in oats and barley that has been shown to calm itch and inflammation, offering a gentle yet effective solution for dry, eczema-prone skin and bug bites. Dr. Liu started the company after seeing, as both a physician and a mother, how many families are seeking natural, but effective skincare; drawing on her U of A roots, she built a science-backed alternative safe for all ages, including during pregnancy. Today, the products are trusted by dermatology clinics and sold at Federated Co-op, West Coast Kids, and select Superstore locations, plus online through well.ca and Amazon, carrying that U of A-born spirit to families across Canada.
WTJ is sponsored by TD Insurance.
