Description

All our links Episode 11 got a little ranty. Okay, a lot ranty. Dwayne and Heather took a break from nostalgia and aimed straight at life in 2026. They started with the big one: whatever happened to trying? The generation that learned computers from a blinking cursor and programmed VCRs by sheer stubbornness wondered why so many people give up the second something doesn't work. (Heather also confessed she married a computer geek so her stuff would just work.) From there, nothing was safe. They took on the collapse of basic etiquette, including forgotten introductions, speakerphone calls in public, beach Bluetooth speakers, and nobody giving up a seat on the train. They went after brand-name snobbery (Aldi fans, stand up), headline-only experts who argue about articles they never opened, and the slow death of spelling and grammar. And yes, the "K" versus "potassium" debate came up. They also asked why people yell at actors for what their characters did, whether kids can be kids while still respecting the adults around them, and what happens to creativity when nobody can stand being bored anymore. (German playgrounds got an honorable mention.) They closed with the one that tied it all together: people don't read carefully anymore, and nuance is paying the price.
