Episode 9 starts with some flashbacks of Axel opening up his club and gaining a significant fan-following from Ibiza tourists. In the present, however, Zoe, Kika, and Marcus are having a fun-filled evening together, sharing laughs and taking drugs. Zoe decides to call Jenny and tell her how sorry she is, but Mike catches Zoe openly talking about taking ecstasy and quickly hops on the line to tell her he will be fighting for full custody. Meanwhile, David gives Oriol a concoction of illegal substances and brings him on yet another "spiritual journey". David tells Oriol to not be alarmed by anything he sees -- as you can imagine, this trip does not go very well. Zoe and Boxer show up to court and have yet another argument about their love affair and all the drama that has followed. But as soon as Boxer leaves he gets a text from David that Oriol has disappeared; we soon learn that Clint has taken him (while he was tripping in the woods!) and plans to bring him back to England to put him on trial for Axel's death. Boxer informs Zoe of her father's plan and the two immediately go after him. Unfortunately, it is too late. Clint set out on his own and after leaving an emotional voicemail for Zoe, Oriol breaks free from captivity and attacks Clint while he's driving. The episode ends with Oriol calling Boxer to tell him he has just killed a man. Zoe is definitely going through some major self-discoveries in episode 5. But she's not the only character facing some *serious* changes. Kika goes to visit her father, Andreu, at the hospital where she finds out that he is paralyzed and will likely never walk again. Conchita then meets her daughter at the hospital and decides to lay out the truth and tell Kika about her past relationship with Axel. Conchita even explains how she tried to pay off Axel to be with her instead of Kika. (Major yikes!) Meanwhile, we learn that Zoe and Boxer shared a romantic evening with lasagne and a movie, which eventually led to them sleeping together. She later tells Kika it was the most beautiful night of her life. Zoe eventually decides to stay in Ibiza to explore her newfound self; she even confronts her father and tells him that her suicide attempt wasn't because of Axel, but because she couldn't face life on her own with him. She tells her father to leave. He does. In the final moments of episode 5, Zoe goes skinny dipping while Kika, Oriol, and Conchita crowd around Andreu's bedside for a chilling, yet emotional moment. This juicy episode takes us on a journey as we learn about family dynamics and family rivalries.  We learn that Christobol is alive despite the brutal torture from Oriel but has lost his hearing. His father Pepe Martinez is not taking this lightly and is determined to take revenge regardless of Conchita's visit. Conchita visits Pepe and reminds him of how one of his family members hurt her sister and she hasn't retaliated for that. Andreau is fed up with his entire family and punches his son Oriel for the greater mess that he has made and throws him out the house. Oriel is distraught in this episode and visits a Shaman to help him gain some revelations to the murder of Axel Collins. Zoe and Kika spend the day at the beach when it is interrupted by a surprise visit from Zoe's dad. Anna offers to take care of Marcus after his knee injury at the hospital. Although Boxer is furious with Zoe for not trusting him, he can't seem to pull himself away from helping Zoe. Lastly, Andreau is in a horrible car accident but was it a accident or a setup?

Zoe and Boxer go on a wild, fast, and furious chase from the police; with kilos of cocaine in the trunk. Boxer, being the street wise, veteran he is, throws the cocaine out of car, as the dust that it kicks up, creates a perfect smoke screen. Oriol who's hellbent on finding the killer of Axel, to gain his father Andreu's trust again, sets his eyes on Cristobal; the ex boyfriend of Kika. Oriol has Cristobal kidnapped and tortures him by binding him to speakers and blasting techno music in his ears to garner a confession of killing Axel, from him. Cristobal admits to nothing but an affair between Axel and Conchita, Oriol's mother, going presumably deaf in the process. Zoe and Kika go pick up Marcus's kids from from school, in order to keep them save from the Romanians. Boxer meets the Romanians at sea and kills them. Meanwhile on land, as Zoe, Kika, and Marcus's children ride through the forests of Ibiza, the children notice their dog. Kika stops the car and the children run to go pick up the dog. The children run into the forest . Zoe chases behind them but can't find them. Zoe goes to the police and tells them about the kilos of cocaine that were in the car, when she they were chased by them earlier, and she tells them that they belonged to the Romanians, which unbeknownst to Zoe, are no longer alive.
