Spice Girls with Tanner Shea

They drove through the night to a stranger’s house with no money and knocked anyway. Tanner Shea knows way too much about the Spice Girls, especially their origin story. Five strangers assembled from an open newspaper ad became a fully manufactured girl group, then hijacked the whole operation themselves: fleeing their managers in the middle of the night, tracking down a songwriter through the phone book, and fighting their own record label to make “Wannabe” their lead single. It hit number one in 37 countries.
