Episode 127: Winterbeast featuring Trevor Henderson

Artist and illustrator Trevor Henderson is back for more spooky shenanigans and they’ve brought in a strange outsider with Winterbeast (1992). We will call this Christopher Thies horror movie a movie, but that’s only because we don’t know what else to call it. It forgoes typical filmic essentials like plot, sense and consistent film stock and replaces them with bizarre choices, poor (but fantastic) acting and just a lot of vibes. There’s also stop motion monsters to add to the, uh… whatever it is that could be labeled that it’s doing. It’s like a David Lynch film if he were an idiot, but one who’s also constantly stumbling into something captivating. Truly hard to describe, absolutely unique and completely out of left field, this is yet another one to pay attention to this spooky season, so get some soda and some popcorn and tune in!
