Is Dumbledore the WORST Headmaster? | Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone

Should Albus Dumbledore be FIRED from Hogwarts? Between three-headed dogs, dangerous magical creatures, deadly obstacles, and hiding the Philosopher's Stone inside a school full of children, we're starting to question how this man still has a job. Welcome to our very first Harry Potter episode of Your In Depth Podcast! This week, Jacob and Evan return to where it all began with Harry Potter and the Philosopher's Stone (or Sorcerer's Stone, depending on where you're from). We're revisiting the story that introduced us to Hogwarts, exploring its characters, questioning some rather questionable decisions, and comparing the original book with its movie adaptation. In this episode, we discuss: Is Dumbledore actually a terrible headmaster? Was Severus Snape secretly one of the heroes of the story? Is Harry searching for his identity, a home, or a family? What makes Harry, Ron, and Hermione such an effective trio? What does the Mirror of Erised reveal about happiness and longing? What important scenes, characters, and storylines were left out of the movie? Did the film's changes weaken Hermione's role in the story? Plus, questionable Hogwarts sponsorships, plenty of Star Wars comparisons, and the usual ridiculous tangents.
