What does hand-eye coordination have to do with following Jesus? In this powerful message, Pastor Brady Black explores what it means to function as the Body of Christ and why every person has a unique and indispensable role in God’s Kingdom. Drawing from 1 Corinthians 12, we are reminded that the church is made up of many different parts, but we are all one body, working together toward the same goal: Jesus. Through a football illustration, Pastor Brady shows how something as simple as catching a ball requires the entire body to work together. In the same way, the church needs every person to be activated, aligned, and willing to play their part. This message challenges us to confront two major hurdles: “How can God use me?” and “How can God use them?” Your value isn’t determined by your visibility, position, experience, age, or recognition. What may seem insignificant or unseen can be indispensable in the Kingdom of God. God has intentionally placed gifts, purpose, and value within each of us, and He wants to use us both inside and outside the church. Pastor Brady also challenges us to rethink how we view the next generation. Instead of pushing young people to the sidelines until they are older or more experienced, we can make room for them to lead, serve, grow, and be used by God right now. At the same time, the next generation needs adults who will mentor them, encourage them, and help them cross the finish line God has placed before them. Finally, we are reminded of what it means to be a healthy Body of Christ. When one person suffers, we all suffer. When one person is honored, we all rejoice. We are called to notice people, care for one another, carry one another’s burdens, and activate our faith by stepping into the needs around us.
