Podcast promotion can promise big numbers, but bigger downloads don't necessarily mean a bigger audience. In this episode, I look at some of the warning signs that your podcast promotion may be generating questionable traffic, why download-to-listener ratios matter, and how inflated numbers can hurt your chances of working with sponsors.
The goal isn't the biggest number you can report. It's building an audience you know is real, and being confident that your analytics reflect it.
