The Muslim NATO Alliance as some are calling the new pact between Pakistan, Saudi Arabia and Turkey brings three of the leading Sunni powers together. Modelled after NATO's Article 5, any armed attack against one of the three signatories will regarded as an attack against them all. The secretariat for the pact will be located in Saudi Arabia and the first Secretary General will be a Pakistani.
