Along the Copper River in south-central Alaska exist tiny outposts and towns that are scattered along its banks. They are communities that have learned to both love and revere its presence. One of those very places was Tazlina, a tiny village of 421 people (1991). Tazlina, the residents thought, was their own little slice of heaven.
